FAQ
I answer a reader question once a month. Do you have a question for me? I’d love to answer it! If it’s a short one I’ll answer it here. If it’s more complicated, I’ll give it its own post. You can leave your question in the comments, @-reply me on twitter, email it to me at alittlebigblog@gmail.com or send me a messenger pigeon. Don’t actually do the last one, though. My cat will eat it. Be sure to let me know if you want me to include your name and link to your blog or shop. Anonymous questions are fine, too.

Why “Little Big?”
Because the little moments in life are the most important.
“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you’ll look back and realize they were big things.” – Kurt Vonnegut
Hey, aren’t you a book?
Nope! I’m a blog!
There is a book called Little, Big however, and it is excellent. It is by John Crowley. I suggest you read it immediately.
What’s your motto about?
Someone once found my blog using the search term “Bitch doesn’t think I can multitask.” I think that’s amazing. Read more about it here.
How do you pronounce your daughter’s name?
Isobel: “EEEE-so-bell.”
Not “Izz-oh-bell,” please.
What is Follow Friday?
Follow Friday is a time to recommend people to follow on Twitter and a great way to find new people who tweet interesting things. I took it a step further and I retweeted my favorite tweets from the previous week so people could see why I was recommending them. After awhile I was retweeting so many tweets I moved the whole thing over here so as not to flood my follower’s twitter streams. I also pick my favorite tweet to feature for Tweet of the Week and intersperse the whole things with photos I’ve taken. You can find them here.
I was nominated for a shorty award for creating this idea.
Once a month I like to feature a guest photographer. Let me know if you are interested in participating!
What is Overshare Wednesday?
It’s a meme created by my friend Laurel. You can read about its humble beginnings here.
What is OMFN?
OMFN is an abbreviation I made up that stands for “Oh My Fucking Nom.” I use it when something tastes or looks especially delicious. I came up with it here.
Wha?
My husband’s family is from Guatemala and so a smattering of Central American Spanish words are a regular part of my daughter’s conversation. It is my hope that she grows up to be fluent in both English and Spanish. Words we use most often are ‘agua’ which means ‘water’ and ‘pacha’ which means ‘bottle.’
Is that a bruise on your daughter’s shoulder?
Nope, it’s a birth mark. Technically, it’s a hemangioma. It’s not really a big deal and will probably go away before she’s ten. If not, she has the beginnings of a rad tattoo! Of course, it’s already started fading so it’s probably not permanent.
What is Little Big Shop?
The Little Big Shop is an Etsy store that sells fantastic vintage finds. Browsing through thrift stores and estate sales is my favorite thing ever but my house can only hold so much. I still get the same thrill for shopping for others as I do shopping for myself. I have decorated my own home almost entirely from thrift stores and now it’s time I share the love. You can read more about my thrifted home and take a tour here.

Hi, do you have an RSS feed I could use to remind me to remember to come check out your blog. I’ll never remember otherwise and I feel like I might miss something important. I looked and looked on your site and can’t find the little symbol anywhere.
Thanks for reminding me, Lee! I’ve added an RSS Feed at the bottom of each page.
I love your cat. All of my animals are the product of a wild hair up my ass. No shit. I love them all equally and while none of them are impressivey gigantic, they have some AWESOME personalities. Especially Amaya, my Kitten who I blog about because she has a crack (cookie) problem and I’m pretty sure I can’t afford rehab for her.
Cats are the best.
Looking forward to following your blog…I just discovered it.
I’m super flattered. Thank you!
OMG is that your husband? HOT!! DAMN, I wish I were your cat
