The new computer is mostly up and running and since I have backlog of photos to edit and other computer-y things to to I’m going to take this opportunity to post one of Isobel’s thrifted outfits that I completely edited then forgot to post way back in February. (At least I’m pretty sure I didn’t post it. I couldn’t find it in my archives. I do have a gigantic case of pregnancy brain, however, and I will routinely forget what I’m doing even while I’m doing it. Isobel is helpful in reminding me though she always thinks I’m joking with her. Ha, ha! Yes. Joking.)
This dress used to be one of our favorites and sadly she’s just recently outgrown it. It handled the seasons well because it was lightweight enough to wear when the weather was warm an the long sleeves meant it worked well with layers in winter. It think it might originally come from the Gap.
The clip in her hair was one we made together with nail polish because during her hardcore pink phase she only wore pink clips. This usually meant we’d have to buy a 10-pack of assorted colored hair clips in order to immediately lose the pink ones. Nail polish clips saved us so much money. This one still looked pretty good considering it’s been through the wash several times.
As usual her shoes were the most expensive part of her outfit, and also as usual, they were a gift from Grandma. She loved these shoes so hard she wore them until both the bows wore off and I had to glue them back on repeatedly with a glue gun. She called them “slippers” instead of shoes because it was more princess-sounding.
I loved this outfit, and I’m sad to see it go!
