The day has come! You know that new computer I’ve been waiting on for the last three months or so? Not only has it finally arrived, but Anthony has cobbled enough of the old computer together to get this one up and running with the files and photos I need to get back to business. I’m not quite there yet, but I’m well on my way. This new computer is so fancy and shiny and new I can tell I’m going to need time to orient myself to its smartness. It’s a touch screen and it behaves just like a smart phone when it wants to, or, I should say, when I want it to, and since our old computer was purchased around the time we got married in 2003 I feel like I’m going from a Model T car to the fanciest Italian sports car on the lot. It’s fabulousness is burning my retinas and I feel like a chimp at a typewriter trying to churn out Shakespeare.
If all this wasn’t enough, Little Big is getting a sorely needed code makeover from Andrew, code demon behind of Reactiv studios. He is generously offering his time and talents even though it’s a well-known fact that I can’t offer much beyond a Christmas card and a box of thrifted goodness. If you have WordPress blog and have found yourself hitting your head against something that looks like the above photo, get thee to Reactiv and let the wizards of code sort it out for you. Believe it or not, readers have emailed me for advice on setting up their own blogs before, and while I am happy to answer any email you send me, my competency with this matter starts and ends with Googling the problem and then sobbing.
I really feel like I don’t deserve this fancy new computer or the code upgrade, but here it is. It only seems fair that if life is going to hand you a burning bag of poop when you least deserve it then sometimes, just sometimes, it brings you wonderful things, too.

repeat after me:
‘i so deserve this new computer and this upgrade and i thank the universe and all the powers that be for endowing me with wit and charm and talent and grit and a wonderful family and bounteous love.’
This is the nicest comment ever. Thanks, Kathi. xoxo
