Scrapbook: DIY Halloween Costumes

I couldn’t wait until today to show off our NASA JPL Halloween costumes so check out this post from the weekend to see how Anthony transformed into NASA Mohawk Dude and I into his less interesting colleague. We debuted our costumes at a Halloween party last weekend and in a series of unfortunate mistakes I left my camera at home. Good thing I had my phone with me, because some of the costumes we saw were too good not to share. Here are my favorite DIY costumes from the night.
Our friends Zack and Greg decided to go as the famous duo from Shaun of the Dead. Greg even bought the same t-shirt Ed wears in the movie.
My friend Jake dressed as Finn. It was freaking adorable. His friend’s girlfriend made him the hat and the backpack from scratch. It was no big deal, she said, because she was making the same set for her son.
There were already two other Finns at this party, but that didn’t stop Jake. He just transformed into Paper Plate Demon Finn.

Quite an impressive Shaun of the Dead pair there! Looks like a party with great taste in costumes.
