Scrapbook: Jacob’s Garden

13 Jul

These photos were taken in my dear friend Jacob’s garden. Jake has been a fantastic friend not only to Anthony and myself, but to Isobel as well. He is so great with her. Jake was an environmental studies major at Yale and is soon moving away to begin his career. Jake has been a tremendous help and support to me with my garden and shares my passion for native plants and water conservation.

We’ll miss you, buddy. Maybe Isobel most of all.

Such a gorgeous garden! This is making me anxious to get back to my gardening efforts and helping start community gardens in town. :) Sorry it’s such a bittersweet post since a dear friend is leaving, though. I’m thankful for the internet so we can always keep in touch with friends that move.

    Sunflowers are my favorite.

The internet has truly made connecting with friends and family so much easier. I’m really grateful for that.

Sad to hear he’s leaving! More neighborhoods need friends (and gardens) like Jacob!
